Jefferson Family is Leo D. and Rolando Si. The project is born in 2004 as a result of a series of live collaborations between these two freaks. Leo D. was producing minimal techno and experimental dub as Leotech and other monikers since the late 90s and since 2003 for the net label Paranoia.cl, also playing live gigs by himself and in collaboration with other artists in several events in Santiago. In the early 2004 he met Rolando Si through the internet, who was producing minimal house and experimental hip hop flavoured breaks for the last couple of years, and started exchanging sound samples and creating their first tracks together with a fresh funky minimal sound. Since this moment on they begin playing live gigs in several of the most important clubs and events in Santiago, also in the nomad Click Club parties produced by Leo D. and some friends and ChileElectro events as well, playing alongside artists like Ricardo Villalobos, Thomas Melchior, Argenis Brito, Receptor, Franco Cinelli, Andres Zacco, Funzion, Kean, Lineas de Nazca, RadiQ, Chic Miniature, Ernesto Ferreyra, Cabanne, Keith Dennis, Jacek Sienkiewicz, etc.
